Welcome to Earth orbit, and the glory of music!
In partnership with the Association of Space Explorers, UCTV is the proud new home for the Earth Music project, a collection of movies featuring breathtaking views of Earth captured by astronauts aboard the International Space Station, set to music by world-class musicians.
The first movie to debut on UCTV is Windows on Earth, a collection of photographs from 20 stunning flight paths, interwoven with Guitarscapes, ethereal music by Steve Thomas. Commissioned in 2008 for the ISS flight of private astronaut Richard Garriott, Steve’s signature electric guitar and digital magic perfectly complement the mesmerizing views of Earth from space. The movie opens with a captivating aurora over Norway that immediately draws you in.
Sit back, relax, and enjoy the visual richness and harmony of these stunning Earth images. Let your mind wander as clouds dance in beautiful patterns across the planet, with their harmonies mirrored in the music.
This fall, enjoy the weekly release of new movies as part of UCTV’s Earth Serenade series.
We hope these tickets to space inspire you to cherish and care for our planet Earth.
